We are taking a break from our regularly scheduled program to hear from Laetisia at our Amani Kenya center!

What are you thankful for? "I have many things to be thankful for. First of all, I am thankful that I am able to see God in many ways. God has provided for my children to be able to go to school. My family and friends are healthy."

Describe your favorite dish to prepare for your family. "Sombe & cassava ugali. Sombe is made of dried cassava leaves, beef bones stew and peanut sauce. It depends on the seasons. These are always available during the rainy seasons."

What is something your children do or say that makes you smile? "My younger daughter makes us laugh. She thinks she knows many things more than her older siblings. She makes us happy. She loves people too!"

Celebrate God's blessings and make Sombe & Ugali! Here is a video that walks you through how to make this traditional dish at home.
