Advent is a season of anticipation,

a sacred time meant to focus all our attention forward,

while being fully present in the now.

The preparations for Christmas can seem like an amalgamation of

rushing, shopping, traffic, advertisements, food, more traffic and holiday gatherings.

Instead, may we receive this Advent season* as a resplendent gift

which helps us divert from the chaos,

so that we can grasp the significance

and celebrate the greatest gift of all -

love incarnate,

God among us.

Christmas Day - December 25
