Amani Uganda is Thankful!
How does Amani Uganda give thanks?
Each woman of the Amani Uganda center takes time to reflect on the blessings in her life---despite a troubled past. A few years ago, the women of Amani Uganda were living "in the bush" as captives of the Lord's Resistance Army, a brutal military and religious group that terrorized civilians in Uganda and surrounding countries. During this time of thanks, the Amani Uganda ladies wish to share with you the beautiful blessings in their lives."I'm thankful for God's grace upon us (Amani Uganda). He has been with us up to this moment." - Simprosa
"I am thankful that I am strong and healthy; so I can work and take care of my children."
- Jackline
"I am thankful that God brought me back from captivity in the bush. And that I can work to support my family." - Grace
"I'm thankful that God is always with me, from my abduction to now; and for the skills I've been able to learn." - Jane
"I'm thankful for my good health and the gift of life; and that I am able to take care of my family." - Mary
"I'm thankful for my health and strength. I'm thankful that I am able to work and support my family." - Alice
"I'm thankful for my child. I'm thankful for the strength and skills I have so I can completely take care of him." - Judith
