Beautiful but unfortunately unusable

I love the look of these oven mitts and the fact that they are sold for a good cause. However, I have tried to use them twice now and have burned my fingers both times. Not sure if I got an unusual pair, but they are definitely not oven safe or rated for high heat. I could probably use them to carry a warm bowl to the table, but not much else. I will not be trying to take anything out of the oven with these again. Very disappointing, And now I have to hunt for some oven safe oven mitts.
